Water 2012 is the biggest statewide celebration in Colorado’s history to increase water awareness and citizen involvement in water issues. Our goal is to connect Coloradans to their water through greater public involvement.

To accomplish this, an unprecedented number of water-related organizations across the state are collaborating in conjunction with their own milestone anniversaries, to make Water 2012 activities and programs available to residents throughout the State. Our goal is to raise $80,000 from public and private sources to fund statewide marketing and professional coordination of Water 2012 educational activities.

Currently, Water 2012 has more than 200 collaborating institutions and partners reaching into every river basin in Colorado. Together, we are working to develop a full range of Water 2012 Activities with a goal to reach 500,000 Coloradans who will take part in one or more Water 2012 event. In addition, we are aiming to register 5,000 Colorado residents to receive communications on Colorado water.

Sponsorship of Water 2012 says that your organization cares about Colorado’s challenging water issues, and that you support increased citizen involvement and education about this vital resource which touches every aspect our lives.
