The purpose of the Watershed Group Committee is to encourage watershed groups in each basin to engage their community to celebrate water throughout 2012, thereby giving people a better understanding of what these groups do, what they are about and how they are important to Colorado Water 2012.

We hope to accomplish this through various events, press releases and by forming groups that involve citizens (such as through the River Watch Program).

Those interested in joining the committee might be anyone involved with a specific watershed group or anyone thinking about creating a watershed group in their community, as well as anyone planning a water-related event in 2012.
